The Bennington Battle Monument is located in Bennington, Vermont some 10 miles away from the actual site of The Battle of Bennington. It is supposedly located on the site of the storehouses which Burgoyne intended to raid, and is very near the site of the Catamount Tavern, where Colonel Seth Warner and the Green Mountain Boys resided at the time.
